Art Deco. From 'Arts Decoratifs', Decorative Arts in French. A dominant art movement of the 1920-1930 period, much especially in Paris. It was a classical, symmetrical and rectilinear style, influenced by Cubism and Futurism. The work of Tamara de Lempicka is a good example.
