Aerial Perspective. Also known as Atmospheric Perspective. The term for how atmospheric conditions influence our perception of objects in the distance. Distance affects the clarity and color tinting of an object. As objects get closer to the horizon, they appear lighter in tone, bluer or cooler in color, and more blurred.
